Urbania Malaysia (“the Platform”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), operated by Youmi Technologies Sdn. Bhd., highly values the privacy and data security of both users and service providers.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information, as well as the rights you hold when using our platform.
By registering or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Platform immediately.
2. Information We Collect
We only collect information that is necessary to provide services, fulfill legal obligations, and improve user experience:
Account Registration Information: mobile number, email address, username, password.
Identity Verification Information: ID card/passport details, photos/videos, or other documents for KYC and background checks.
Transaction and Payment Information: order records, payment methods, billing information.
Location Information: collected with your consent for “Nearby” functions, order dispatching, and safety tracking.
Device Information: operating system, browser version, device model, IP address, used for system optimization and fraud prevention.
Service Records: order details, service duration, ratings, complaints, and dispute records.
3. How We Use Information
Your data may be used for the following purposes:
To provide, maintain, and optimize our services (e.g., dispatching, payments, customer support).
To verify identity and enhance security, preventing fraud and illegal activities.
To send you notifications related to orders, promotions, or system updates (you may opt-out of marketing messages).
To comply with regulatory obligations, including police investigations or legal proceedings.
With your consent, to personalize recommendations and promotional offers.
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We will not sell, rent, or unlawfully disclose your personal data. Information may only be shared in the following cases:
Service Fulfillment: necessary data disclosed to service providers to complete an order (e.g., contact info, service location).
Payment Processing: shared with banks and third-party payment gateways to complete transactions.
Legal Obligations: disclosed if required by law, courts, or regulators.
Corporate Restructuring: in the event of mergers or acquisitions, the successor will remain bound by this Policy.
5. Data Storage and Protection
All personal data will be stored on servers located in Malaysia.
Data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill its purposes, then deleted or anonymized.
We apply strict safeguards including encryption, access control, firewalls, and monitoring to prevent unauthorized access, leaks, or misuse.
6. Special Provisions (Dispute-Prevention Clauses)
(a) Location Data
User and service provider location is collected only during an active order for dispatching, navigation, and safety purposes.
Location data is deleted or anonymized once the order is completed.
(b) Account Deletion
You may request account deletion at any time.
However, past orders and ratings form part of the Platform’s public transaction history and will remain stored for fairness and traceability, though they will no longer display personal identifiers.
(c) Dispute Resolution
The Platform acts as an intermediary, facilitating service matching and payment processing.
We do not directly provide or control services. Any disputes between users and service providers remain the responsibility of the parties involved. The Platform may assist with mediation but holds no legal liability.
(d) Secondary Data Usage
We do not sell your information or use it for third-party advertising.
If data is used for research or analysis, it will be anonymized, and your explicit consent will be obtained.
(e) Underage Users
The Platform is not intended for minors under 18 years old.
If we discover an account registered by a minor, we reserve the right to terminate the account and delete associated data immediately.
7. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
Access: review your personal profile and order history via the app.
Correction: update inaccurate or incomplete information.
Deletion: request deletion of your account and data (subject to legal retention requirements).
Withdrawal of Consent: revoke permissions such as location tracking or marketing push notifications at any time.
8. Users post illegal or inappropriate content
We respect the rights of all users, but prohibit any harassing, hateful, pornographic, or illegal content.
If you discover inappropriate behavior, you can report it through the report or block feature, and we will address it within 24 hours.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this Policy from time to time. Updates will be announced on the Platform or via notification. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
10. Account & Data Deletion
If users wish to delete their Urbania account and related personal data, they may request it via:

The “Contact Support” feature in the Urbania App.
Your account and associated data will be permanently deleted within 7 working days after verification.
Deleted data includes account information, order history, chat messages, location data, and payment records.
Certain data legally required for accounting (such as transaction receipts) will be retained for a maximum of 90 days before being anonymized or permanently deleted.
